Art and Eskimo Power is the story of Howard Rock, founder and editor of the Tundra Times, which helped organize Alaska Natives as they petitioned Congress for settlement of their aboriginal land claims. The result, the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in 1971 awarded Alaska Natives $1 billion and 40 million acres of land.
